The Foundation collaborates with non-profit organizations around the world to help empower forcibly displaced and marginalized communities with the skills and education needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven global economy.

Opportunity Beyond Borders is the Foundation’s $15 million commitment, to be invested by 2022, providing vulnerable youth with the skills and education needed to succeed in today’s digital economy.

Employee Engagement
Employees are one of the Foundation’s largest contributors. Each employee is given one paid personal day for philanthropy. Employees donate both their time and treasure to Foundation efforts around the globe.

Disaster Relief

The Foundation also provides funding to communities in crisis through disaster relief and other humanitarian efforts,
with a unique model that allows the Foundation to quickly mobilize support for non-profit organizations on the ground when disasters occur.
Since 2001, we have responded to more than 200 efforts in 74 countries with more than $18 million in support.

Diverse talent is our greatest asset. Western Union Listens is our employee experience program based on a continuous listening strategy. The results of these brief, real-time monthly and quarterly surveys enable engagement discussions and build satisfaction across our multi-generational global workforce. Additionally, the program lets us better target regional actions, where priorities can diverge based on local culture, offices, amenities, and so forth.
